Les-Andelys-port

Richard the Lionheart’s Castle at Les Andelys. We tried to enter the small port at the base of the castle - but even with our 0.75m draft it was too shallow; so we cruised back down in the setting Sun to a tiny creek where we rested precariously for the night - a run down club by the looks of it.

Miss WHAT? Next stop Paris Arsenal.

The foam fenders are excellent for canal work especially as the BLUE side can be used for a Blue Boarding signal ( when craft pass starboard to starboard in designated sections of river) just like a real river craft! And makes a good pulpit seat too.

If it wasn’t for the big stick at the back we might have thought we’d crossed the Atlantic!
